Our doctors at the Naturopathic Clinic of Concord have prescription rights for certain medications. Whenever possible, the doctors prefer to use natural substances in herbal, homeopathic or nutritional form which are free of side effects.

If you need a prescription, you can feel assured that we can provide for you the correct medicine recognized at all surrounding pharmacies. The ability to write prescriptions allows our doctors the flexibility to decide between the alternative or main stream approaches to helping you recover.  

Pharmacology

Naturopathic Doctors do have a formulary in their law that allow them limited ability to prescribe drugs, such as antibiotics. Our doctor understands how the medications function in the body, the risks when using certain medications and which herbs or supplements may interact with certain medications.

Each year, Naturopathic Doctors must obtain a certain number of continuing education credits in order to maintain their licenses. Our patients take comfort knowing that they will be provided with the safest, and most effective medication whether it be a supplement, herb or pharmaceutical.
